The Government of Ontario released its Long-Term Energy Plan on Oct. 26, 2017, which outlined the future of the electricity sector in the province. The policy reconfirmed that Bruce Power, and nuclear, will play an important role in the province’s energy sector for decades, and major projects such as Bruce Power's Life-Extension Program are important to ensuring a reliable source of clean, low-cost electricity for decades.
