October 2020. What is this? A roaring waterfall in northern California in October? You betcha! This is a short day hike to Pit River Falls California, a popular destination for kayaking and rafting on the Pit River, near Burney Falls in Shasta Trinity National Forest, California. I don't go kayaking or rafting, but you can hike there too! No kayak needed. The Pit River was roaring at 1100 cfs, very high flows, and the waterfall was incredible. One of the best waterfalls in northern California. Come along for the journey!
