In big and shocking revelations the Mumbai Police has claimed that a major English news channel and two other channels are suspected to have involved in scam of manipulation of the TRP. The Police has said that these three channels distorted the mechanism used by BARC that is Broadcast Audience Research Council to rate the TV channels to show that they have the maximum TRP. Now this TRP is the basis on which the advertisers or investors invest in a company that runs these news channels. The Police has said that some people have been arrested in this regard and they have been charged under IPC Section 409 that is criminal Breach of trust and Section 420 for cheating.
