Do you have a little too much bleed in your drum microphones? Maybe some background noise in that voice over track? Perhaps you just need to increase the dynamic range of a track?
Expanders and Gates can be used for so many different kinds of tracks and for so many super useful reasons. Plus, the stock gate inside Studio One has a MIDI out function so you can use it to trigger a sampler at the same time!
