In the song the guy, in his mind, speaks to the girl standing under shadow of the rose shrub and the breeze plays with her silk dress. The guy says he admires the radiance of her face and blue and deep eyes, resembling a sea. We learn from his later words that it has probably got dark and the girl has left, has gone home and the guy still wanders not knowing what to do, looking at the moon which already goes beyond the mountain, and the violet hardly seen in the moon. But the guy would rather see his beloved than roses and violets.
