For centuries, Tibetan Buddhists have practiced a unique funeral rite called a "Sky Burial", where a monk would lay the deceased on a mountainside platform for vultures to consume.
But dying looks nothing like it did in past generations. As legislation, science, and attitudes change, we need to ask ourselves what it means—and if it's possible—to end life well in the 21st century.
