Descaling Your Kettle
Limescale is formed by minerals in the water and is harmless. Limescale may accumulate at the bottom of the kettle due to poor water quality. The form and color may vary.
1. Fill the kettle with 1 cup / 237 mL of distilled vinegar or lemon juice and 2 cups / 473 mL of water (1:2 ratio) and boil.
2. Allow the mixture to soak in the kettle for 2 hours.
3. Pour out the mixture, then wipe off any remaining limescale with a non-abrasive cloth, sponge, or cleaning brush.
4. Rinse the kettle with clean water and dry with a soft cloth.
5. Repeat as needed.
