On the emergency ward of Barnsley A&E, staff are under pressure as they deal with a shortage of beds. With an influx of patients arriving, staff work round the clock to provide the medical attention they require. A 77-year-old is rushed into the emergency rooms with signs of a heart attack and a young woman with dislocated limbs is placed under anaesthetics as she is treated by doctors.

Casualty 24/7 is a show following the Barnsley A&E department. The reality series allows for a peek inside the hearts and minds of the medical emergency teams, and how they deal with critical situations revolving around people's lives and illnesses. The close-knit team exchanges typical Yorkshire banter and humor to aid them with getting through their often long and tough days.
