The Presidential Election Petitions court has reserved judgment in the petition filed by the Allied People’s Movement.
At the resumed sitting, counsel to the petitioner and the respondents adopted their final written addresses.
The Independent National Electoral Commission alongside, the APC and the President asked the court to dismiss the petition for lacking merit.
They argued that the issues canvassed by the petitioner have been settled by a judgment delivered by the Supreme Court.
The APM’s ground for the petition is that the vice president Kashim Shettima, was not qualified to contest having allegedly engaged in double nomination.
