The updated Murano is one of seven new vehicles Nissan plans to release in the United States over the next three years. The next Murano will likely draw inspiration from the front-wheel-drive Murano platform, which has been on sale since the 2015 model year. While Nissan has been tight-lipped about the model, speculation is that the crossover will ride on the improved D platform. All subsequent models, including the Infiniti QX60 and Pathfinder, are based on this. Like Nissan's 2016 Chill-Out concept, the new Murano will have a low roofline and a coupe body style. Additionally, the new Murano's iconic V-Motion grille appears to be missing from this design. There are many good things that align with the Nissan Ariya EV. A slim silhouette and strong shoulder line are the characteristics of this crossover. They are united by a sharp windshield that ends in a sloping roof. Additionally, you can see the greenhouse under construction as well as the newly installed mirrors on the doors. Viewed from the rear, the muscular thighs, rounded taillights and roof-mounted wing spoiler give the impression of an SUV from Porsche. The entire width of the rear lights consists of the lightbar, except for the Nissan logo in the middle. Production of the new Murano is expected to begin in early 2024, with the 2025 model year marking its official launch. Prices for the 2025 Nissan Murano can range from $37,000 to $49,000, with the exact amount depending on the trim level and the number of available extras. Until Nissan makes an official announcement, all we can say is that the 2025 Murano may have both electric and gas engine options. Rather than retain the popular 3.5-liter V-6 engine from the previous generation, we expect Nissan to swap the Murano's CVT for the nine-speed unit seen in the larger Pathfinder when it debuted.
