In the Spring/Summer of 1995 I wrote and produced a radio show for Pittsburgh Pennsylvania's classical radio station, WQED-FM, to showcase the classical accordion. By that time I knew the staff of WQED-FM well enough that I could make such a bold proposal, and the station manager, Jim Cunningham, agreed. I wrote the script and provided the music from my substantial library of classical accordion CDs. Susan Johnson served as host of the show.
I had hopes that this pilot program would expand into a series with dozens of episodes, but that never came to pass. In any case, I hope you enjoy this hour-long showcase of music for the classical accordion.
