For Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella. I just figured this out, so this is a very rough prototype using only a prom dress, vest, underskirt, and 10 safety pins. I'm going to sew an official, better looking one. (Update: [ Ссылка ]) Here's how it works:

On the back middle underside of the dress, pin or sew the vest upside-down so that the inside of the vest touches the inside of the dress. Pin the top and bottom line of the vest at such a level that when the dress hangs freely, the vest isn't visible. Stop pinning at the top of the vest's armhole. If that's unclear, watch the video to see where the pins go.

That's it. Safety pin the vest to the inside of the prom dress skirt.

Obviously for the real show you'll need the prom dress lined with brown fabric. You may also need some white ruffles to hide the spots where the dress sticks out at the top of the vest and at the armholes.
