Starla: Week 1 Recap - Part 1
Starla: October 7, 8 and 9 Episodes (With English Subtitles)
A young boy named Buboy (Enzo Pelojero) finds himself hoping for a better life as he remains stuck behind the orphanage's walls. Striking out on his own, a spellbinding event leads him to Barrio Maulap. Living in the small town is Mang Greggy (Joel Torre), a jaded old man who hides a sad story behind his crotchety exterior. Meanwhile, a wishing star named Starla (Jana Agoncillo) has her first visit to the world below. In a twist of fate, all three of their lives intertwine on one magical night.
Buboy (Enzo Pelojero) tries to find a way to express his gratitude for Greggy's (Joel Torre) kindness. However, the boy's actions causes a serious misunderstanding between the two and drives Buboy to leave the elder's house. As he encounters danger while fleeing, Buboy can only utter desperate pleas. This compels Starla (Jana Agoncillo) to reveal her true nature and grant the poor boy's wish. Elsewhere, a lawyer named Teresa (Judy Ann Santos) uses illicit means to help a client.
Buboy (Enzo Pelojero) starts a new life in Barrio Maulap as Greggy (Joel Torre) commits to adopting the orphan. While staying at the elder's house, he comes across Tonton (Alex Baena) who quickly makes a bad impression. However, he soon discovers Tonton's dire situation which compels Buboy to make use of Starla's (Jana Agoncillo) powers to help the boy. Meanwhile, Dexter (Joem Bascon) boosts efforts to sabotage the residents of Barrio Maulap in order to force them to sell their lands. Teresa (Judy Ann Santos), on the other hand, makes a decision about Greggy.
