(12 Jul 2016) Romanian Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos held talks with his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Xuan Phuc in Hanoi on Tuesday to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries.
Ciolos and Phuc discussed cooperation in the fields of trade, energy, agricultural infrastructure and education.
After the hour-long meeting, the pair witnessed an agreement signing ceremony, including for an energy partnership between the state-owned company Vietnam Electricity (EVN) and Romania's Transelectrica.
Two-way trade between Vietnam and Romania reached 175.6 million US dollars in 2015.
Ciolos is also scheduled to meet with President Tran Dai Quang, Communist Chief Nguyen Phu Trong and Chair of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan before concluding his trip.
