Quite often ill leave my helmet on the bike, but as more and more thefts are occurring I'm removing my own anxiety by using this affordable and brilliant security device.
Not only can you use it for helmets, but rucksacks/backpacks, even using it on your side bag/saddlebags if you don't have them securely fastened to the bike.
