Delhi and its neighboring areas experienced moderate to heavy rainfall in the early hours of July 9, resulting in waterlogging in several parts of the city, including Ghazipur Mandi and East Vinod Nagar. The previous day, July 8, also witnessed continuous heavy rain throughout the day. Safdarjung, the city's base station, recorded a remarkable 126.1 mm of rainfall between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm on July 8, marking it as the wettest July day in the past two decades. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), more rainfall is expected in the city in the coming days.
