As per the latest news on Times Now, Amid leadership tussle between EPS and OPS, AIADMK general council meeting to be held today.
Five years after the Edappadi K Palaniswami (EPS) and O. Panneerselvam (OPS) reached a truce to establish a dual leadership in All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) following the demise of Jayalalithaa, the tussle between Tamil Nadu’s two former chief ministers has once again come to the fore. While the EPS camp is expected to push for single leadership in the upcoming general and executive councily meeting, OPS has called for the postponement of the meeting. Amid AIADMK infighting, Madras HC reserves order on party's general council meeting.
The general council meeting of AIADMK will be held on Thursday after the Madras High court refused to restrain the scheduled meeting from amending bylaws.
"We demand for single leadership, the party should have one leadership and travel on a single track. There should not be two tracks.", said Valarmathi, Senior leader, AIADMK.
