Those were his exact words but today this aam aadmi who once wanted to live a life of simplicity and prosperity seems to have been totally waylaid by the high life of power and the corridors of power. Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi and the convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), spent Rs 44.78 crore merely on beautifying (renovating or cleaning) his official house in the capital during the Corona time. This significant revelation was made through "Operation Sheeshmahal," which was broadcast on Tuesday (April 25, 2023) evening by "Times Now Navbharat." The records that surfaced during the operation's probe showed that the CM's home had a curtain that cost up to eight lakh rupees. The curtains erected in the CM house cost a total of one crore rupees. There were ordered a total of 23 curtains, some of which have already been installed and others which have not. Eight curtains were placed at first (in 2021–2022), costing 45 lakhs, and 15 curtains were purchased in the second phase, costing roughly 51 lakhs. A few panelists join us to express their views on this issue. “In June 2013, Arvind Kejriwal signed an affidavit that listed 7 promises. The third promise in this affidavit was- 'Main bada bangla nahi lunga. Aam aadmi ki tarah saamaan ghar mein rahunga,” stated Ajay Maken, Congress.
