I set out into the North Cascades to do some solo camping trout fishing for a catch and cook trout video. We are experiencing severe flooding here in the Great PNW so trout fishing is tough. I managed to find one clear lake to do some trout fishing but the pouring rain was relentless! Trout fishing can be tough anyway but conditions are currently making trout fishing dang near impossible. We are experiencing, what meteorologists are calling a "parade of storms," each one bringing an "atmospheric river." Whilst trout fishing, I did manage to catch several trout. After getting forced off the lake by wind and rain, I wrangled up some hedgehog mushrooms, chanterelle mushrooms and a matsutake mushroom. I headed back to camp with my haul and fried up the mushrooms and trout. I love making solo camping catch and cook trout videos but this one kicked my butt!
