The 2024 Mitsubishi ASX might sound new on paper, but the version sold in Australia actually celebrated its 13th birthday in early 2023. Yep, this small SUV is a certified teenager. To put that into perspective, most models have spanned at least two generations since its inception.
So, what has changed with the ASX since then? It's had a few facelifts, but it's still very much the same vehicle. For model year 2024, a minor update has ushered in increased pricing across the board, although the ES and MR have added lane departure warning in exchange.
In this expert review, CarsGuide Contributing Journalist Emily Agar spends a week living with the ASX's aforementioned ES grade, which sits second from the bottom in the Kia Seltos rival's range. So, does the Japanese brand's most affordable crossover deserve buyers' attention at such an advanced age?
