This is a demo comparing ink smudge-resistance and retention between a Sharpie marker and a Staedtler Lumocolor marker, used on different types of Magic card surfaces. May it serve as a guide for those thinking of getting their cards signed by the artist.

Markers used:
(Sanford) Sharpie Industrial Super Permanent Ink - Fine Point
Staedtler Lumocolor Permanent - Medium

Cards used:
Non-foil: 4th Edition, Theros, War of the Spark, Modern Horizons, Ultimate Masters
Foil: Guilds of Ravnica, Iconic Masters

Tested for immediate smudge and smudge after 5 seconds (approx.)
