Asheville, NC has a great food scene, but it is known as beer city in the USA for a reason. There are about 30 breweries within the city and metropolitan area. We made our way to Asheville Brewing Company, the third oldest brewing company in the area. We wanted to check out Highland Brewing (the oldest brewing company in the area) and Greenman Brewery (the second oldest), but with the weather, we didn't have time. That doesn't mean you should miss out on them too. Making sure they are on your brewery tour list is a must!
Our tour will hopefully help you find great food and beer. We'll link each spot we visited below.
As mentioned earlier, Asheville Brewing Company is an original on the block. They also own Rabbit Rabbit, a bar and outdoor concert venue. This location we visited is one of three, and the second to be built. And don't miss out on the pizza here!

Hi-Wire Brewing has five taprooms in North Carolina, two in Asheville (the other being Hi-Wire Big Top). This location in South Slope is known for brewing lagers but has also become an experimental hub for creating exciting barrel-aged sour and wild ales in addition to developing fun small-batch creations.

Bear's Smokehouse BBQ is a food truck permanently on-site on Coxe Ave. Try the bear balls and the burnt ends here!

Wedge Brewing Company has two locations just a short distance from each other in the heart of Asheville’s River Arts District, Wedge at Wedge Studio and Wedge at Foundation. Wedge prides itself on being more than a brewery, but a great gathering hub for the community. Either location is a great spot to just hang out and relax for a few hours.

White Duck Taco Shop has three locations in Asheville. Here's a fun fact, the name originates from a nickname the Chef earned when she frequently got excited and talked too much to the kitchen staff. They called her "La Pata Blanca" which means White Duck. Tacos here vary by location and season, and really on whatever they feel like experimenting with. You can probably go to all three locations and always experience a new taco on the menu.

Wicked Weed Brewing Company has some of the best burgers in town! The upstairs to this brewery is a restaurant, but venture downstairs to the more casual taste room and experience up to 25 different beers on tap. Wicked Weed has four locations in Asheville including three taprooms.

Venture away from the busy crowds to the outskirts of Asheville at Copper Crown. This restaurant is conveniently located en route to the Blue Ridge Parkway and only a few minutes drive from downtown. coppercrownavl.com
Early Girl Eatery is one of a few great breakfast spots in town with two locations in Asheville, with two others opening soon in South Asheville and Charlotte. Early Girl offers delicious Farm-to-table food made from scratch and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. earlygirleatery.com
Other locations we mentioned briefly in the video are Curate and Itto Ramen. If you want to eat at Curate, be prepared to make a reservation three weeks out!
