This is the story of a crazy 24 hour non-stop fishing adventure.
We head 150 miles offshore on the Triple Tale (World Cat 320CC) to the Pulley Ridge area in the Gulf of Mexico to do some serious fishing with bottom rigs, slow pitch jigging and using electric reels for deep dropping in 500 ft of water. This slow pitch jigging technique blew us off our feet with success. By far more hookups than the electric reels.
We caught a wide variety of fish. Queen Snapper, Mutton Snapper, American Red Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Mahi Mahi (Dorado or Dolphin), Tile Fish, Yellow Edge Grouper, Red Grouper, Scamp Grouper, Kitty Mitchell Grouper, and a huge Almaco Jack.
Our plan was to spend the night offshore and fish all night and morning but the weather had other plans for us as you can see in the video.
