With inbound tourism heating up in China, tourist attractions across the country are enhancing their payment services to make life easier for foreign travelers.
In northwest China's Xi'an City, the museum which houses the world-renowned Terracotta Warriors has introduced a new online platform for foreign tourists to book tours and make payments.
It now supports 24 languages and 29 currencies, catering to visitors from 39 countries and regions.
Meanwhile, Shanghai, China's economic powerhouse, has completed the first stage of its mobile payment upgrade for taxis, allowing passengers to pay seamlessly with domestic or international bank cards, and of course, with popular Chinese digital wallets like UnionPay.
For tourists and local taxi drivers alike, the upgrade is very convenient.
According to the National Immigration Administration, China recorded nearly three million inbound and outbound trips made by foreigners in the first two months of the year.
