In this woodturning video, I'll show you how I transformed a simple piece of wood into a beautiful heart-shaped Valentine bowl using my Record Power Coronet Regent wood lathe. I utilized Easy Wood Tools standard rake cutters for precision cuts, and for finishing touches, I employed Hampshire Sheens sand and sealer. The sanding process was meticulous, ranging from 80 grit to 400 grit with Klingspor Abrasives, ensuring a smooth surface. To enhance its aesthetic appeal, I applied Hampshire Sheen black gloss lacquer, followed by Jo Sonya's iridescent gold and red paints to achieve a stunning rose gold hue. For the exterior, I utilized Yorkshire Grit from Easy Wood Tools to enhance the wood's natural beauty before sealing it with high gloss wax from Hampshire Sheen. Join me in the journey of crafting this exquisite Valentine's Day bowl!
