The TMEA etudes just dropped, so I felt inspired to make a recording! Not a finished product, and don’t be surprised to see me drop a cleaner version soon. I’ve also got some Etude-focused educational content cooking up and on the way!

My single biggest piece of advice with this etude is to remember to make it musical. It can be so easy to get caught up in all the fast technique that we forget to sound beautiful. From day one of your practice at a slow tempo, prioritize tone and phrasing, you will thank yourself later! Also, there are hardly any dynamic markings in this etude, but I still encourage you to take some musical risks and be expressive! You hear me trying some things that aren’t written in this etude. Remember, as long as your choices serve the character of the music, it’s perfectly fine and even encouraged to add some dynamics, crescendos, and diminuendos where none are marked!
