Score of Grandval's "Valse mélancolique" ('Melancholic waltz'), published in 1898. Marie Félicie Clémence de Reiset, vicomtesse of Grandval, was born into a wealthy family that allowed her to compose without having to worry about financial matters; she studied composition with Chopin and Saint-Saëns (she is the dedicatee of his 'Oratorio de Noel'). Nevertheless, when her social status changed after marrying the vicomte of Grandval, she was forced to publish her music under multiple pseudonyms, like Caroline Blangy, Clémence Valgrand or Maria Felicita de Reiset.
Performers: [ Ссылка ] Yuri Guccione (flute); Giovanna Di Lecce (harp). Live recording made with the help of sound engineer Massimo Allegri.
