In this video, I'm going to explain why most bugout bags are stupid and how you should fix them.
A lot of the time, I see the prepping community refer to the "bugout bag" as some sort of romantic end-of-the-world fantasy where they think they are going to escape into the woods with their family and live there forever. Some preppers even refer to the bugout bag as the "I'm Never Coming Home" (INCH) Bag. And this just isn't even a realistic possibility - in fact, if you're planning to do this, your probably going to die.
A more realistic approach to the bugout bag is to put together a 72-hour bag that is really just meant to get you or your family out of dodge as quickly as possible to an alternate destination. So if this is the goal... why are preppers designing their72-hour bugout bags as if they are going to be foraging in the woods for food and shelter? Everything in this bag should be built in mind to keep you moving... not stopping to fish or hunt and skin animals in the woods.
