A fellow University of Mississippi student is facing charges in the murder of Ally Kostial. Police found the 21-year-old dead about 20 miles from campus near a lake known as a popular hangout. Investigators say she was shot eight times. Police tracked the suspect’s credit card and cellphone, which led them to Memphis, Tennessee. They arrested him at a gas station.
2. Lifetime is taking its success with the hit docuseries “Surviving R. Kelly” and planning a similar show
Its latest project will focus on multimillionaire Jeffrey Epstein. It will feature interviews with women and girls who say Epstein sexually assaulted and abused them. Prosecutors charged Epstein this week with operating a sex trafficking ring. He has pleaded not guilty. Lifetime is also working on a telepic about the college admissions scandal.
3. Livestock manure, sewage overflow and failing septic systems are polluting beaches across the country
That’s according to a new report that found thousands of beaches had unsafe levels of water pollution on at least one day last year. Two non-profits were behind the report. It warns contamination in swimming areas pose a public health threat.

5. Scientists on the International Space Station will soon be playing with Nickelodeon slime
The kid’s TV network is launching it in a SpaceX Dragon Capsule as part of a publicity campaign. Astronauts will take video of how slime moves in micro-gravity. It will be used to develop educational materials for young students that could roll out as early as September.
