My friends know I am very much against products which fail after a short period and don't provide good value, and end up in the landfill. This microwave oven is just over a year old. It shows a very worrying trend in the consumer products arena. A single, durable part has been replaced with an overcomplicated circuit board built by the cheapest bidder in the Far East. I assure you parts will not be available for this item for long; if they ever were available at all. Then off to the landfill it goes.
