Sharon Camperchioli, PharmD, is the medication safety officer at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). In this role, she supports CHOP’s mission by helping make medication processes safe for patients and employees. Camperchioli received her Doctor of pharmacy degree from Temple University School of Pharmacy and is a board-certified pediatric pharmacy specialist. She also has a Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Villanova University. Prior to joining CHOP, her professional experience includes medication safety at a multihospital community healthcare system, over a decade as a pediatric and neonatal clinical pharmacist, retail, and long-term care pharmacy operations.
Michelle Bell, BSN, RN, is the director of Outreach and Education with the Patient Safety Authority (PSA). Bell began working with the PSA in 2010 as a patient safety liaison for the Southeast region. She joined the PSA after completing a yearlong fellowship with the Institute for Safe Medication Practices, a world-renowned expert organization on medication safety.
