Take fainting to heart. Sir Roger Moore, Patron of STARS (Syncope Trust And Reflex anoxic Seizures) shares his experience of fainting on stage and being diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat. Following his diagnosis, he was immediately fitted with a pacemaker to keep his heart rate at a regular rhythm and has been well ever since. Not everyone is as lucky. Some patients can wait years before the true cause is diagnosed and many patients are misdiagnosed.
