COBOL EDITED PIC CLAUSE: + - CR and DB
+ is for leading zero suppression and SIGN insertion at the most significant byte for both positive and negative numbers
- is for leading zero suppression and SIGN insertion at the most significant byte for only negative numbers, positive numbers are NOT displayed with + Sign
CR & DB : Both are used in Financial accounting - They are not used for zero suppression but rather the symbols CR and DB are inserted only for negative numbers. This PIC clause doesn't have any effect on Positive numbers
