Just in time for Shakespeare's 450th birthday, the Alabama Shakespeare Festival will complete the Bard's canon with the production of Timon of Athens. This special adaptation using modern English was commissioned by the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and will have its world premiere at ASF. When the overly generous Timon realizes he's given away too many of his worldly goods to people he thinks are his friends, he becomes disillusioned when no one will give any of his stuff back. Despondent, he exiles himself where he stumbles upon a new fortune. But this time his plans for the new found fortune are less than altruistic.
Now playing at ASF through May 24. Visit [ Ссылка ] for tickets.
