FEA deformation and maximum principal strain regimes of the original F. leucobalia fang under a compressive load of 5.3 N at the tip along its long axis. The fang is constrained (all translations and rotations) anteriorly on the maxilla. Warmer and cooler colors represent higher and lower maximum principal strain concentrations respectively.
