Game Developer WayForward Technologies was built on licensed cash in titles and shovelware, but somehow this studio developed a distinct style all their own by combining anime art, humor, and retro game mechanics. Today I’ll be looking at the WayForward style and some of their original games, like: River City Girls, Mighty Switch Force, Spidersaurs and, of course, Shantae.
