Trends in the use of stem cell transplantation in relapsed and refractory Hodgkin lymphoma are currently being studied by the European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT). In this interview, Anna Sureda, MD, PhD, of the Catalan Institute of Oncology, Duran I Reynals Hospital, Barcelona, Spain, summarizes the results that have been obtained so far by the Lymphoma Working Party of the EBMT, which have focused on both autologous and allogenic stem cell transplants. She puts a particular emphasis on allogenic transplants and draws attention to the advances that have been made with this line of therapy, before briefly mentioning the studies she hopes to conduct in the near future.
