The 𝐍𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐮𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 seeks to bring together fresh perspectives on the governance system in Nepal and generate insights on bolstering inclusive economic growth. Through deliberation among local representatives, national development experts, and international academics, we unraveled critical perspectives on inclusive development in Nepal, while putting the Nepali federal system on the global map.
The difficulties faced by women in politics, the representation of female leaders in politics, and capacity-building initiatives for women's empowerment were discussed. Building on the extensive and varied knowledge and experiences of the three panelists—Dr. Soledad Artiz Prillaman, assistant professor of political science at Stanford University, Ms. Kantika Sejuwal, the first female mayor of Nepal's Chandannath Municipality, and Ms. Radhika Regmi Pokharel, deputy country director of the International Foundation for Electoral Systems.
