I attended a recent track day event at Atlanta Motorsports Park with Project EG (an Atlanta-area car group with roots in mountain runs that now focuses on getting members out on track). There were dozens, if not hundreds of amazing cars there and somehow I found myself driving two of the greats: A 2010 997.2 Porsche 911 GT3 3.8 and a 2019 Corvette Grand Sport.
These cars share a lot in common - naturally aspirated, rear wheel drive, and built to be capable of intense track sessions right off the showroom floor. Of course there are a lot of differences too, and after lapping both of them, one was my clear favorite.
As mentioned in the video, Michael Cypher runs a business that offers lots of cool items specifically for the 997 generation of Porsche 911 - you can check out his products here: [ Ссылка ]
