This model does not have Wi-Fi function to link the app. Sensor Mirror Pro models have that. The model numbers are ST3007, ST3011 and ST3014. About the charging, you don't have to charge the mirror before first use.
It has an app so you can adjust all its settings right from your phone. Great mirror, doesn't hold a charge very long when not used daily. First of all getting the mirror to link to my wifi was so not intuitive. to keep on leaning when you're applying makeup, then you have to wait 5 mins for the light to go off.
