This post explores how we can "warm up" the brain, just as we might warm up the body. Priming, and the use of cognitive conditioning tasks, can impact on the brain by altering available neurotransmitters, increasing blood flow, and improving mood. More excitingly though, short-term plasticity shows that it could even alter the function of the brain with immediate effect. Then there's the potential for a smart priming session to tap into enhanced neuroplasticity!
