I took S-Bahn from Munich Hbf to Berchtesgaden Hbf (2h 45min).
After reaching at Berchtesgaden Hbf, I used Google maps to hike towards Kehlstein.
It took about 3h 45min to reach the top. The trail is beautiful with mesmerizing views.
Families can reach by car or by using bus service.
Refreshments and food are available at the restaurant when reaches the top.
After spending 2 hours at the summit, it took about 3h to reach back at Berchtesgaden Hbf.
