Ruth Allman, niece of Judge James Wickersham, leads a tour of the House of Wickersham in Juneau in 1984. In this segment, she discusses the origin of the Treadwell Mine. Allman lived in the Wickersham House in Juneau for many years, and opened its doors to tourists and guests for more than 25 years, until the house was purchased by the State of Alaska in 1984.
