Some tests I wasn't to sure to publish that i did in addition to the previous Ryzen 7 comparison video you can find in the link below. I was always really curious about how many did the Zen architecture advance through the generations and witch where its biggest leaps so that is why i though making this tests would be interesting.
For those who don't know IPC stands for Instructions Per Clock, basically meaning the amount of work a CPU can make in each of its cycles. It is used to know how much an architecture has advanzed compared to the previous one as more IPC means more improvements have been done to obtain more work in the same cycles and less IPC means the architecture and design its more similar to the previous one and that the gains in performance could come from other sources such as higher clocks.
There is no unit to measure the IPC in, only beeing able to obtain it as a difference in performance between two processors running at the same cycles, or what is the same, running at the same frequency. That is why in this video all cores of the CPUs are forced to run at 4GHz during the tests.
