Today I will be making Korean Soybean Sprout Side Dish or Kongnamul Muchim. Banchan (반찬) is the Korean word for side dish. At a Korean restaurant, they will provide you with several banchans and soybean sprout is one of the most common and popular side dishes. Refreshing, delicious, and works great with everything!
Ingredients:
450g (1lbs) soybean sprout
1/2 cup water
1 green onion
2 garlic
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp fish sauce (omit for vegan): [ Ссылка ]
1/2 tsp soy sauce
2 tsp sesame oil: [ Ссылка ]
1 tsp sesame seeds
1 tsp gochugaru (fine red pepper powder): [ Ссылка ]
Recipe:
1. Rinse and wash soybean sprout and boil with 1/2 cup of water and salt for 10 mins on medium heat then drain.
2. Chop green onion and mince garlic.
3. In a bowl, mix green onion, garlic, salt, fish sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, sesame seeds, and soybean sprouts.
Tips:
For vegan option, omit fish sauce and add 1 tsp soy sauce.
This dish is often eaten cold or room temp.
