DUALSENSE EDGE
Unfortunately, Sony has not only made the Edge controller a lot more power-hungry but they also put a much smaller battery inside. This battery for the regular Dualsense is physically larger and doesn't fit into an Edge controller.

PS5 Controller Does Not Respond
After replacing the battery, the controller no longer turns on?
First try to charge the controller on an external USB C power supply again.
ATTENTION: The charging function of the USB ports could be deactivated in the PS5 settings! To be on the safe side, check this under "System | Energy Saving | Adjust functions available in sleep mode".
Did the problem already exist before the battery replacement?
NO, then....
* Open the controller and check the flex cable connector on both sides.
* Check if the battery connector is positioned correctly.
* If the problem persists, reinsert the original Sony battery and check the function again.
* If the controller works with the original battery, please send us a short mail to help@lugium.de. Of course, we will exchange the battery quickly and easily.
YES, then....
* Replace the charging cable to ensure that the cable is not defective.
* If the problem persists, the most common defect is the motherboard of the controller itself. The PS5 controller is subjected to high mechanical loads during operation due to vibrations and shocks, which can lead to hairline cracks on the circuit board or, in rare cases, to the failure of electronic components. A repair is usually not possible.
* If you are indeed dealing with such a failure, we will take back the unneeded battery and refund the purchase price. Simply go through the return process on the portal where you purchased the battery or send us a short email to help@lugium.de.
