Why AB turns its focus on agri from corporate lending?
৪০ বছর পার করেছে দেশের প্রথম বেসরকারি ব্যাংক এবি। স্থানীয় অনেক বড় ব্যাংকারের ক্যারিয়ার শুরু এই ব্যাংক থেকেই। আগে বড় গ্রহীতাদের বেশি গুরুত্ব দিলেও সম্প্রতি ব্যাংকটি জোর দিচ্ছে কৃষি ও ক্ষুদ্র ঋণে। এরই মধ্যে ৩ মাসে ১৩ জেলায় কৃষি ঋণ দিয়েছে। এই ঋণ দেয়া হয় স্মার্ট অ্যাকাউন্ট খুলে, স্মার্ট কার্ডের মাধ্যমে। ঋণের পরিমাণ ৫০ হাজার থেকে ১ লাখ টাকা। এ বছরে ৫০-৭০ হাজার কৃষককের হাতে ঋণ তুলে দেয়ার লক্ষ্য। টিবিএসকে এসব তথ্য জানান, এবি ব্যাংকের ব্যবস্থাপনা পরিচালক তারিক আফজাল।
