Witness the post-pandemic aviation boom as major players like Boeing and Airbus rake in staggering numbers of new aircraft orders. National carriers like Emirates and FlyDubai make game-changing decisions, signaling a robust recovery in the aviation sector.

The US manufacturer Boeing got a whopping number of 214 new aircraft orders. Among those orders was the UAE national carrier Emirates, ordering 80 new 777’s. Another national company FlyDubai, that has only used narrow-body 737’s so far, surprised everyone by stepping up to a whole new level and ordering 30 new 787 Dreamliners!

The Dreamliner was a popular choice for other companies as well. Royal Jordanian wanted 4 of those, Royal Air Maroc 2, and Ethiopian Airlines settled for no less than 11 of them, with an option of 15 more.

A couple of years back the 737 Max -aircraft was in the news because of two tragic accidents happening within a short period of time. For a while it looked like the Max is going to flop big time. Luckily the issues were able to be fixed, and now the aircraft has gained back customers' trust. Ethiopian Airlines ordered 20 of these, Egypt Air 18, SCAT Airlines 7 and Sun Express a total number of 45!

Airbus didn’t do badly either at the airshow. The wide body 350 was sought after by many companies, like Egypt Air with 10 units, Ethiopian Airlines with 11, and Emirates with 15 of these. There is also a demand for a smaller aircraft with shorter range. For example, the Latvian carrier Air Baltic ordered 30 new 220’s with an option of 20 more.
