Director Nadine Labaki discusses the motivation for making her latest film CAPERNAUM, and children, its subjects who are an unrepresented neglected group of minors and refugees living in extreme poverty.
CAPERNAUM premiered at the AFI FEST in Los Angeles, and received a long standing ovation by its audience. Its lead star, Zain Al Rafeea, a non-actor and a real Syrian refugee who has lived in Beirut, Lebanon for six years, in harsh conditions, poverty and without education.
