The distillery’s visiting center won the Whisky Magazine Whisky attraction of the year in 2011 with 1million visitors per year.
KAVALAN SOLIST SHERRY CASK received Double Gold award at the 2012 & 2013 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Kavalan is named after the indigenous people who originally inhabited this northeastern corner of the island: the Kavalan.
Matured in Oloroso Sherry casks

NOSE
Complex, multi layered, dried fruit, vanilla, chocolate, coffee, soya sauce, dark fruits and berries stewed in sherry , caramel.
TASTE
Rich, oily, full bodied, dried fruit, spices, coffee.
One of the most sherried whiskies EVER!!!
Thick creamy syrup with prunes, raisins, plums, dark berries + vanilla.
Baking spices (cinnamon, nutmeg), nuts, fruitcake.
FINISH
Lingering, dark chocolate pudding with spiced sherry, slightly dry.
WITH WATER:
Nose: less alcohol burn
Taste: more creamy
